About us
Un Bateau à Paris is above all a human story: that of a passionate captain, an exceptional Dutch tjalk and unique moments shared on the Seine.
Captain Michel
Captain of the Senang
A passionate captain, Michel has been welcoming passengers aboard the Senang for more than ten years. With extensive experience on the Seine and the professional qualifications required to operate passenger boats, he shares Paris's history and his favourite anecdotes on every cruise. His standard: delivering an intimate, warm experience — the opposite of mass tourism.
The Senang's story
The Senang is a 12-metre Dutch tjalk, a traditional flat-bottomed boat perfectly suited to inland waterway navigation. Fully restored with particular care given to fine materials and passenger comfort, it accommodates up to 12 people in an elegant, intimate atmosphere. Its outdoor deck offers exceptional panoramic views of Parisian landmarks, while its covered terrace allows cruising in all weather.
